Truist Foundation has committed $50,000 in recovery and relief funding to the American Red Cross in response to flooding and mudslides caused by the winter storms in Kentucky and neighboring communities in February 2025.
More than 375 Red Cross staff and volunteers provided on-the-ground support across Kentucky by assessing damage, working with community partners and local emergency management, providing hot meals, a safe place to stay, and additional support to residents impacted by flooding.
This grant is in addition to our $1 million grant to the American Red Cross, made as part of its Annual Disaster Giving Program in July 2024, which allows the organization to provide immediate relief services in communities across the country after disasters big and small.
